Somanathapura Temple

The Somanathapura Temple, also known as the Prasanna Chennakesava Temple, is a prime example of Hoysala architecture, consecrated in 1258 CE. This Vaishnav Hindu temple honours Lord Krishna, with "Chenna" meaning beautiful and "Kesava" representing Krishna. Although it is no longer used for worship, the temple's intricate carvings and architectural brilliance continue to captivate visitors.
